1. 湖泊：大部分人造湿地包括水库(dam)、水田(paddy field)、湖泊(lake)、凹洞(pit)以及因采矿所挖掘的坑洞;或是因道路、灌溉系统、河/海堤及其它建筑工程,造成排水不良的区域,也有可能会演变为湿地.

2. 莱克：现在仍有数家公司,如美国的维德(Wade Co.),莱克(Lake)、皮尔斯(Pierce)等在制造这种被称为滚移式喷灌机(Side Roll或Wheel Moving)的机器. 其优点是造价比固定式喷灌系统低,劳动强度比半固定式、手工搬管系统低,维修方便.

3. 色澱：而食用色淀(Lake)却是将水溶性色素沉淀在氧化铝上制备成的特殊着色剂,不溶于任何介质,通过扩散在某种载体中(如砂糖、油、甘油、糖浆)进行着色.
