n.(名词)

research的基本意思是“研究,探讨”,尤指对知识方面的新事物进行彻底调查、研究。research泛指“研究”时是不可数名词,不与不定冠词a连用,也不用于复数形式。
research的复数形式可用于特指对某个具体问题的研究,但其前不能加数词或者many, several等词。
research后可接介词in、on或into,表示研究或调查的对象或范围。

v.(动词)

research主要指为了学术上或有创造性的长期认真研究而做的调查或查询,也指为了把已知晓的事实和规律落实到简要的文字上而做的研究,还可指做一般的、无足轻重的调查。
research可用作及物动词,也可用作不及物动词。用作及物动词时接名词或代词作宾语。
research用作不及物动词时后接介词into或on表示“研究”的领域或方向。
